A combat pure is an account which is created primarily for the purpose of efficient usually PvP combat. Combat pures train specific combat skillswhile deliberately keeping other combat skills at a minimum in order to excel in certain aspects of combat at a comparatively low combat level. The term "pure" standing alone most commonly refers to this kind of combat pure.
These accounts fall into four main categories, depending on the variation of skill levels: Pures, PKers, Tanks, and Products. Combat pures focus on training certain skills that they hold most relevant for successful combat and are usually made for player killing. The purpose of keeping an account "pure", i. Some combat pures tend to generally neglect non-combat skills, although many will train a money making skill such as Woodcutting or Hunter to be able to buy equipment or to meet quest requirements for a combat-related reward such as Ancient Magicksor the bonuses offered by certain skill capes defence and prayer bonus.
Agility can also be a very vital skill while fighting in the Wilderness however, the equipment of pures is often very light. Pures who decide not to train noncombat skills are often at a huge disadvantage against other pures. However, there are also defence-orientated pures and pures that combine certain offensive and defensive aspects while neglecting others.
There are a variety of combat skill combinations which may be considered favourable for different tasks and different types of opponents. Pures with unusual combat skill combinations may also be players experimenting with new combat concepts. Strength Pure: Getting Attack to the minimum requirements to wield a certain weapon such as dragon weapons and Strength as high as possible, all while staying at 1 Defence. A tribrid uses all three sections of the combat triangle. Recognise that at 40 Attack60 Strength1 Defence and 1 Prayer assuming 50 Constitutionthe player's magic AND ranged levels do not affect the player's combat level until level The formula of training an F2P pure is shown below.
Starting to train your pure is simple. These are all in the Stronghold of Security. These accounts get 60 strength for the Tzhaar-ket-om commonly referred to as the "obby maul" that has excellent offensive stats with no attack requirement.
Due to changes introduced in EOC, attack has much less of an impact on hit chanceand the obby maul has a fairly high amount of base weapon accuracy. This allows an obby mauler pure to hit very often even against defence pures! Due to weapons having a built-in damage bonus, it is possible to focus entirely on attack in EOC since weapon tier matters more in EOC.
Furthermore, formerly expensive high-tier weapons like the Saradomin sword are much cheaper than they were years ago. These accounts get 50 attack in order to use the granite maul to effectively KO their opponent. Due to the poor quality of using solely the maul they will become hybrids to better their chance of killing their opponent. These accounts get 75 Attack in order to use Godswords to KO their opponent. There are actually so many types of Pures in the game.
But, it seems that whenever I am playing, I always run into some kind of new account build that I have never actually seen before. So, today I am bringing an article with all those different account builds, and each of their benefits and disadvantages. Pay to Play 1 Defence Pures.
These Pures usually have a very, very high Ranged and Mage level — usually enough Range for Black Dragon Hideand usually around at least level 80 Magic. Along with a high Range and Mage, they have a mediocre Attack leveland an absolutely high Strength level. Now, on the screen below is a combat calculator. The link to this will be at the end of this article if you would like to check it out for yourself.
But, essentially, the reason why 1 Defence Pures are so good, is that there seems to be a clear link between their Ranged level and Magic level, and the Attack and Strength levels in regard to their Combat level.
Defence, Hitpoints and Prayer seem to have their own mathematics behind them regarding the Combat level. But, as you can see, as I raise the Ranged level really high, I have more opportunity for Strength and Attack levels without levelling any Combat levels. You never really see any 1 Defence Pures with more than 75 Attack. Now, sometimes you will find that they have level 1 Attack and have really high Strength level only. This is an Obsidian Purewhere they use the Obsidian Maulwhich requires 60 Strength and these pures are really, really overpowered, since they have such a low Combat level.
Now, the reason why 1 Defence Pures are so powerful, is that their low Defence level keeps them at a really low Combat level. But, their Combat stats are so high upmaking them really, really strong. Usually, you will see them using a really fast Range weapon like a Magic Shortbowand then switching into their special attack weapon like the Granite Mauland absolutely wrecking their opponents.
Sometimes, you will see them using Mage as their damage source, and they usually use things like the Flame of Zamorak spell with the Charge spellwhich is unlocked at the Mage Training Arena at level This is really powerful. Lastly, some of them have 52 Prayer for Smite. But, this really increases their Combat level. So, it is usually only seen on Max Pureswith level 99 Ranged and 99 Strength. Free to Play 1 Defence Pures. Now, these are all the cases for 1 Defence Pay to Pay Pures.
But, what about the Free to Play 1 Defence Pures? These guys usually have really high Range level and Strength level.Runescape's Forgotten 20 Defense Build
But, this time they cap their Attack level at level 40 just enough to wear Rune. By doing this, they can allocate more levels to Strength without levelling their Combat. They also do not really have any Prayer levelssince Prayer becomes pretty useless in Free to Play without Prayer potions and access to many altars. But, what I have seen is that a lot of Free to Play Pures that are members would bring a Prayer Potion into the Wildernessand the they can easily just hop to members world, drink the Prayer Potion, and then hop back to the Free to Play world — not during a fight of course, but maybe before a fight or after a fight.

Pure Guide. Comment about the guide. This site was designed with the.Note: When this guide uses the word "pure," it means "PKing pure," or a pure intended for player-killing. If you have ever walked anywhere near the wilderness, you have seen a pure. They come in many, many different shapes and sizes, but there is one thing that all pures have in common: They are characters created to dominate the wilderness.
60 attack piety pure - 70 or 75 defence?
The wilderness, put simply, is the area in RuneScape where you can kill other players. This guide will introduce you to important concepts regarding pures, different types of pures, training methods and strategies for your pure, and suggest equipment for PKing. It will mainly cover melee, though often melee is combined with Magicso this guide will also cover some aspects of Magic training.
It is important to realize that this guide is about starting a melee pure, and the strategies it suggests later on, while useful, are only suggestions. The mission of this guide is really to give you a nudge. The education of a pure is continuous, and the best way to be educated on pures is to be immersed in the "pure culture," meaning watch PK videos, visit pure clan websites, and make friends with other pures. The idea of a pure was first conceived on RuneScape Classic.
It was not until RuneScape 2, however, that they became such an important part of the game. Nowadays, one might say that pures characters are the standard on which the RuneScape market rests. Pures buy thousands of potions everyday, which make Herblore and Farming skills worth training. Pures buy armour, weapons, and amulets, which make SmithingMiningand Crafting skills worth training.
Pures use the most runes, especially nature runes, to train Magicand hence make Runecrafting into the biggest business in RuneScape. So too are Fletching and WoodcuttingSlayerand Fishing made worthwhile by pures and the wilderness. The definition of what constitutes a pure player is disputed. In the broadest definition, a pure is any character that intentionally trains some combat skills, and stops, or doesn't train others at all.
For example, someone who is 40 attack, 99 strength, and 99 defence is just as pure as someone who is 99 attack, 99 strength, and 40 defence. One might differentiate between the two by calling them a "40 attack pure" and a "40 defence" pure, respectively. We denote different types of pures by the levels, or equipment levels, that they intentionally have ceased to train.
Pures that do not train defence can also be called by the level of armour that they can wear. A 1 defence pure might be called an "iron pure," likewise a 70 defence pure a "barrows pure. Each type of pure has advantages and disadvantages. As recommended above, you should start out with 1 defence. Please register an account in order to post on these forums.
